MARRICKVILLE PARK

Public BBQ

A large village green that packs in a remarkable amount for the inner west: a sports oval with cricket nets, tennis courts, a basketball court, an outdoor gym with a pull-up bar, a short running track, a children's playground and a picnic area with public grills. It is also home to the local croquet club. Plenty of street parking and good public transport make it easy to reach, and there is generous space and tree cover. Dogs are welcome on lead. Two things to note: the toilets are clean and relatively new but sit well away from the playground, and being Sydney, road noise carries across the park.
